Covid-19 (coronavirus) Notice

The Covid-19 (coronavirus) infection has been declared a public health emergency of international concern by the World Health Organisation.

The health and wellbeing of Durham University students, colleagues and alumni is a top priority of the University and they are working hard across the University community to prepare for the possible spread of the virus, provide up to date information and advice and offer support as the situation develops.

To ensure we do not put any of our community at further risk, we have postponed a number of events around the world and are contacting all bookers directly.

Join the Hatfield Association’s White Lion Club for The Head of the River Race

The White Lion chapter of the Hatfield Association will be attending the Head of the River Race in London on 21 March 2020.


We will meet outside Imperial College boat house on Putney Embankment at 14:30 to watch the race from a prime location.

Moving on to drinks at The Coat and Badge, Putney from 19:30.

The Hatfield College White Lion Club has recently been set up with the goal of creating a network for graduates of Hatfield College Boat Club (HCBC).

The White Lion Club is a chapter of the Hatfield Association.

About HoRR

The Head of the River Race is rowed annually in March from Mortlake to Putney on the Tideway in London.
Up to 400 crews of eights take part, making it one of the highest participation events in London.
The event will take place on Saturday 21 March 2020 ~ 14:45 GMT.
